Robert Gaertner, Treasurer, Kingsbury,Tx.
Don Vollette, Vice-President, San Marcos, TX
   Mae Avery, Secretary, Bandera, Tx.

In April, we traveled to Riverview RV Park on the Frio River for our campout and the weather was cloudy but very pleasant . As in the past the staff was very helpful and did every thing that they could to make our stay enjoyable. We had 13 rigs present including four guests (John and Sherry Hughes, Ed and Roberta Laundy, Andy and Maggie LoMonaco, and Harold and Marilyn McEwen). On Friday night we ate at Cedar Creek restaurant in Leakey and had a great catfish buffet. Our guests shared some new games with us and added variety to our repertoire of games. Our hosts, Ron and Gayle Weir, and their co-hosts, Phil and Ann Semmelrogge, did a great job with their Fiesta theme, which was complete with decorations to get us in the mood for our luncheon. Breakfast on Sunday morning with waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage and fruit was a great way to end an enjoyable campout.

Riverview really is a pretty campground.

This weekend we had the opportunity to WELCOME another new member
                                                couple to our club.

How about this fantastic new club flag!!
Our THANKS go out to Dottie for
the great job she did on this project for
our club. She made one for every
current member that we have and
promises to even make one for each
         of our new members.

Several of our members requested a copy of Gayle’s recipe for her Sopapilla Cheesecake, so I am posting it in our newsletter. Enjoy!!

The following information is what our host, the Gaertners, passed on to me
to share with you. The name of the campground is Dixieland RV Park located at 308 Centennial Street, Carmine. TX. The rate for a 30 amp site is $22 per night and $24 for a 50 amp site. The 50 amp sites will probably be in short supply, so if you have a need for this service please notify our Host. Please stop at the office upon arrival as they wish to park us. We will pay Robert for the cost of our camping at a later time. There is an RV service shop on site if you have a need for repairs. If you did not sign up at our last campout, you can contact our host at 830-463-7240. This weekend is Texas Good Sam’s designated time for Spring
Clean-Up, therefore Robert is researching projects for us to do on Saturday morning. Bring some old clothes and shoes so you can help with this project. Thanks

We have now set up an album page on our web site. We would love for anyone who has pictures that they would like to share of our times together to
e-mail them to me at chasmary@gmail.com and I will post them for all to enjoy.

Please do not forget to bring card fronts, cans, aluminum tabs, and
 food/money for the food bank.

   See you soon...
     Mary
